Nutrition tips for Rheumatoid Arthritis
Foods to include in your DIET:

Omega 3 Fatty Acids: Contains anthocyanocides which help to lower uric acid level and inflammation in your body. Chia, hemp, flax seeds and cold water fish.
Green tea: Sip green tea. Early research suggests that substances called polyphenols in green tea may help control inflammation and prevent joint damage that RA causes.
Selenium rich food: Selenium may help reduce inflammation, due to its antioxidant properties. Researchers think it plays a role in helping to prevent conditions such as arthritis, cancers, age-related blindness, cataracts, heart and cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease. Selenium is found in whole-grain wheat products and some shellfish. Check with your doctor before adding any supplemental selenium to your diet, as research suggests it may increase your risk for diabetes.
Ginger: Ginger contains gingerols which are potent anti-inflammatory componds.
Eat more fresh ginger, or drink ginger root tea.
Turmeric: Contains curcumin which is an antioxidant & antiinflammatory.
Cherries: Contains acanthocyanocides which help to lower uric acid and inflammation in body.
Pineapple: Contains bromelain which is an antioxidant and antiinflammtory.
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar: Contains helpful anti-inflammatory properties.
1tbsp in 6-8 ounces of water, or use as part of a salad dressing.
Foods to avoid
Sugar: Releases cytokines which can flare up your inflammation.

Avoid excess alcohol: This can cause problems if taken with some medicines for RA.

Excess Salt: Normal amounts of salt (Sodium) is essential for general functioning of the body.

Eating excess salt results in water retention in cells leading to inflammatory reactions and joint pain
Omega-6 Fatty acids: Excess consumption of these fatty acids have been found to trigger pro-inflammatory chemicals that aggravate joint pain.

These fatty acids are normally found in Red meat, Egg yolks, Sunflower, Corn and Soyabean oils.
